Visiting Arizona
The wonderful state of Arizona really does have something for everyone to enjoy. The very popular city of Scottsdale is known for its unique shopping, tasty restaurants, and vivid nightlife. Old Town Scottsdale is known for its art galleries, souvenir shops, and of the hottest nightlife. Tempe is home to Arizona State University and the Sun Devils! Mill Avenue is located just blocks away from the campus and has shops and nightlife to experience.
A little further south are the cities of Gilbert and Chandler. These locations are growing rapidly, and many companies are moving their business headquarters to these areas. Heading to the East Valley towards Mesa there are many hiking trails and scenic areas. Ursury Mountain Preserve is very popular and a favorite for mountain bikers.
Road Trip It!
While there is plenty to do in the Phoenix area, you may choose to explore one of the many more remote locations. In just a few hours you can head north and be in Sedona, Flagstaff, or Jerome just to name a few favorites. These are great destinations to pick from if a day trip is all that will fit in your schedule.
Sedona is known for its breathtaking Red Rocks, which really must be seen to appreciate their beauty. Shops and restaurants line the streets of the downtown area, and there are many hikes and outdoor activities. Flagstaff is home to Northern Arizona University, and has a great college town scene. If some winter sports are on your agenda check out Snowbowl Ski Resort. Jerome is unique in that it is an old mining town and is said to be haunted! The Grand Hotel is a must see and sits at the top of the hill and features the Asylum Restaurant. Plaques with historical information about Jerome are hidden throughout the town if you are lucky enough to spot them.

If you’re going to Phoenix Posh Pad is the place to stay. It’s close to everything in Old Town. The art work, decor and amenities are top notch. Easy car parking. And it’s so spacious! And clean! We felt so at home we did not want to leave. Good Life was so responsive to our questions and set us up for a perfect stay. When we come back this way again Posh Pad is top of the list. We stay at Airbnb a lot, in the US and internationally. Posh Pad is one of the best stays we’ve had!

This place exceeded our expectations. It was SO clean, perfect location, and they provide 2 bikes for easy trips to the grocery store, coffee shops, restaurants etc. They had great communication with us- we can NOT wait to come back!

This Airbnb is incredible! Overall, the place was extremely clean, great park situation, and just a fantastic experience. 10/10 would stay again. The private patio got decent WiFi and was quite sunny in the afternoons. It’s super close to a fun hike, close to a cool trail along the canal, and the beds were the comfiest place I’ve ever slept. The host keeps the place stocked with microwave popcorn too, which is a fun surprise. The space is also HUGE and way bigger than the photos show. Big enough to be a 4 bedroom in some cities, so it was nice to be able to spread out.
