Changes at Tops'l

As a 35 year visitor, I noticed many changes at Tops'l. While the entrance and median were manicured and nice, grass around tennis village condos was missing. We stayed in #81 Sierra Dunes. Grass was a foot tall when we arrived and the beds were weed filled. It was mowed during our stay, however grass was left all over the sidewalk and tracked into the house. The furniture in the condo was filthy and needs to be replaced. There were loose tiles in the main bathroom and mold in the main shower. The house pool itself was clean and refreshing, however the pool deck had mold and standing water in one corner. The bottom of the door to the pool was damaged. And weeds filled the bed of the pool area. Also, 2 of the 3 showers in the condo were clogged. The light in the main bedroom closet was burned out as was one light in the main bath. The door stop for the main door was broken, a cabinet in another bath was missing a knob, a couple of cabinet drawers were non functioning, and most importantly THERE WERE ANTS IN THE KITCHEN ON THE COUNTERTOPS AND ON THE DINING TABLE! There was a pink bike leaning against the condo with 2 flat tires all week and what seemed to be graffiti on the side of the condo. While I learned that we could pay for a ride to the beach for my small grandchildren, I certainly missed the FREE shuttle. We enjoyed playing tennis daily. The head pro, Joe, was wonderful and working hard but, he seemed to need help grooming the courts and keeping water and towels on the courts. For an unknown reason, tennis courts 11 and 12 were not available! Also, the lines were raised producing funny ball bounces. When we arrived, the pool at the clubhouse was filled with leaves and debris. It was cleaned out 2 days after we arrived. There were several days when the clubhouse was out of towels. Down by the beach there were portable toilets in the road! One day, there was a steady stream of water leaking from the middle one! Being a long time visitor and Tops'l lover these changes were really disappointing and just made us sad.

Location and space for tennis vacation! Needs upgrades. Same furniture and equipment from 2019 visit and very worn

Overall great experience

House and property was what we expected. Heated pool was amazing especially for our kids. Shuttle service to the beach was great, but also a quick 10 min walk. Layout of the house was great for our family. Would recommend and book again.

Great location and unit, but no thrills

This unit is one of the few in TOPSL with a private pool, which we loved. Quick walk to the beach. Plenty of space in the house to spread out. However, do not expect extra frills. There are no pool towels or toys. Sounds system outside is unavailable for use. Pool alarm on door doesn’t work. No garage openers or keypad, so you have to walk around to side door even in the rain! A few minor fixes would take this place from good to GREAT. Overall we love topsl and plan to be back in the future, but will consider all units available and see what else we can find.

Happy place

Miramar beach, especially Tops'l has been my happy place since I was a child. You cannot beat the white sand and beautiful ocean. We enjoyed the private pool and the spacious living room. If you plan to cook meals for many people, I do recommend you bring your own cookware.
